The Metropolitan Opera National Council (MONC) Mexico District auditions

•$7200 USD: Winner prize of $1200 USD to 6 audition winners in November, 2023.
•$2000 USD: “Encouragement awards” of $400USD to 5 singers.
•$2000USD: USA tourist visas to travel to the next rounds.
Additional funds for pianists, interpreters, technology, public relations.

The Mexico District Prelude to the USA

•$15,000 USD: Honoraria to two American opera professionals and two Mexican professionals for 4 days of winners’ coaching/training
•$5,000 USD: technology, recording, live streaming.

The San Miguel MetOpera Trust, A.C. is a Non-Profit Organization, with donataria autorizada status granted by the Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) to grant tax deductibility against income earned in Mexico.‍

Tax Deductibility is available to United States Tax payers through the San Miguel Community Foundation.

The San Miguel MetOpera Trust is independently incorporated as an Asociacion civil sin fines de lucro in Mexico, with donataria autorizada status granted by the Servicio de administracion tributaria. . . .(S.A.T.), the federal taxing authority in Mexico.   That is, the Trust is registered as a Mexican non-profit corporation, authorized by S.A.T. to grant tax deductibility against income earned in Mexico.
